On 24 May 2025, the Sunderland Heaven Branch had the privilege of helping families take the ashes of 22 loved ones to Wembley—an emotional journey that many of them would have made themselves to support the lads.

Together, we created handmade bracelets for each family member to wear at Wembley, symbolising the presence of those no longer with us. These personal tokens gave families a way to carry their loved ones in spirit and in solidarity, through every cheer and every tear.

The day was more than a football match—it was a moment of remembrance, connection, and love. Each of those 22 fans would’ve been there if they could, and in this way, they were.

We’re honoured to have walked alongside families for such a meaningful occasion and grateful for the chance to help keep the legacy of our supporters alive in the hearts of those who remain.
